Our why

We created this group because too often we are having to engage in the emotional labor of explaining ourselves and justifying our perspectives and explaining our experiences instead of just “being.” This is a space for you to be unapologetically you.

This is a space for Black women to share challenges and successes. It is an affirming space for us to love on each other, express ourselves and cheer each other on. We are navigating so much —- families, children, partners/spouses, careers, dynamics around both race and gender all while trying to live our best lives!

It is also a place for us to make connections, ask for and offer advice and share leads and opportunities that we might miss otherwise. Black women need broad networks and while we need to be connected with men and women of all backgrounds — we also need a space to connect with other Black women. Please feel free to invite other Black women that you believe would benefit from being a part of this group.
